Numerical and experimental analysis of resin-flow, heat-transfer, and cure in a resin-injection pultrusion process

چکیده

This paper concerns non-isothermal flow in a thermoset resin-injection pultrusion process. Supported by temperature measurements from an industrial line and material characterisation study (curing kinetics, chemorheology, permeability), the was analysed for manufacture of thick glass-fibre profile saturated with pultrusion-specific polyurethane resin. A central finding is that heating configuration, together strongly convective near inlets resulted phase transitions were both concave convex-shaped. different existing literature commonly describes curing being initiated die-walls, resulting phase-transitions.
